BAND 6 – Avon Ward- Diabetes Care

Avon Ward is looking for a compassionate, caring, motivated individual to join our team as a Clinical Sister. We are looking for a committed and experienced nurse who is looking to improve their clinical and managerial skills

Avon ward has enthusiastic nurses, who strive to give outstanding care and want to achieve the very best in themselves and for their patients. Working as a Clinical Sister you will have the ability and drive to encourage team development through your leadership and management skills.

You will have exceptional communication and organisational skills and be highly motivated to develop and deliver best practice.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of two years experience of medical nursing, hold a Teaching and Assessing/Mentoring qualification and be willing to support new staff to the ward.

A 22 bedded ward, Avon has the privilege of caring for Diabetes and general medical patients. We work closely with the diabetes care team, providing education and many learning opportunities for staff and patients.

The ward can offer you a driven, supportive team to help to shape your nursing career. You will be supported by the ward manager and sisters to excel in all aspects of your new role.
