HP and Dales CMHT

x 2 Band 6, Full time, 37.5 hours per week, Permanent.

x 1 Band 6, Full Time, 37.5 hours per week, 1 year's secondment post.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for enthusiastic and experienced RMN/CPNs to join the adult side of the HP and Dales CMHT.

The High Peak and Dales CMHT is located in the heart of the peak district national park and provides a stunning and rural location.

This post is currently based at The Ritz building, Matlock. However, you may be required to work at our High Peak base at Corbar View, Buxton.

The post involves the provision of care to Service Users in the HP and Dales, including comprehensive, evidence-based assessment and treatment, using a range of appropriate interventions, based on the local and national practice guidance.

You will need a thorough knowledge of the Care Programme Approach and be able to demonstrate expertise in risk assessment and management working in a community setting.

We are looking for experience and commitment, together with a desire to make our service the best we can through innovation and collaboration with our key stakeholders.

The post will entail working with people who are experiencing severe and enduring mental ill-health and enabling them through their recovery journey.

It is essential that you have good communication skills and that you operate as a well-integrated member of the multi-disciplinary team, maintaining a person-centred focus.

As a lead nurse, you will have demonstrable RMN post registration experience and be able to demonstrate post-registration study and development.

You will also need to demonstrate expertise around NMC Nurse Competencies.

You will be expected to be a role model, offering mentoring and supervision to other staff and students.

Normally will need to have the ability to transport yourself and service users across a wide, geographical area, without compromising service needs. However, due to the current pandemic, remote working is encouraged.

DBS Check
The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.
