Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is looking for a dynamic, proactive housekeeper to work as part of the Vascular team on Ward 15 at Royal Preston Hospital.

We are looking for a friendly, organised and hard-working, conscientious individual to join our team. The successful candidate will undertake duties to assist the wider nursing team, contributing to the cleanliness of the ward and participating in general housekeeping duties.

This Is a Full-Time position 37.5 hours per week that will consist of 5 x 7.5 hour, including Early shifts (7am-3pm) and Late shifts (1:30pm-9:30pm) during the week and occasional weekends so the successful candidate must be fully flexible.

This is an exciting opportunity for hardworking, reliable and motivated individuals who are passionate about patient care.

Main duties include ordering and managing of clinical supplies, keeping the units clean and tidy, serving meals and providing beverages to the patients.

If you are successful in obtaining a position with our Trust which involves working with patients, you will be required to undertake a Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) Check. As a registered body with the DBS, Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust will conduct the administration of this application on your behalf and the cost will be recovered from your salary, either as a one-off payment or over 3 months. Currently the charges made by the Disclosure and Barring Service are - Standard DBS check £30.20 and Enhanced DBS check £48.20. The level of check required depends on the role that you have been offered.

Please note if you are successful in obtaining a position that requires a DBS check but later withdrawn your application you maybe required to reimburse Lancashire Teaching Hospitals the cost of the DBS.

Please note if you are applying for a volunteer position then the DBS check is free of charge.
