Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Melton, Rutland and Harborough CMHT (MHSOP) for a Deputy Team Lead Band 6 Nurse (RMN)

If you are enthusiastic, motivated and experienced RMN with relevant post-registration experience and you are interested in expanding your career, we would like to hear from you. We provide a caring service for people over the age of 65 who have complex organic and functional mental health needs, and people under 65 with early onset dementia. The team has close partnerships with Social Services, the voluntary sector and the Primary Care Trusts.

The role incorporate 0.50 wte as a Deputy Team Lead and you will be providing day to day leadership for the team, provide clinical and management supervision for qualified and unqualified nursing staff under the directions of Band 7 Team Lead.

You are expected to carry out an initial specialist mental health assessments including clinical risk assessment and to provide evidence based therapeutic interventions to the patients and carers. You will engage in regular clinical/managerial supervision and annual appraisal and you will lead and participate in the development of staff through their appraisal and supervision.

A full driving licence is essential and a car-leasing scheme is in operation
