An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full-time Band 6 Respiratory Nurse Specialist in the Leeds Community Respiratory Team.

The Leeds Community Respiratory Team is made up of specialist nurses, physiotherapists, occupational therapist, associate practitioners and clinical support workers providing care and treatment for patients with COPD, supporting early discharge, chronic disease management, pulmonary rehabilitation and the home oxygen service.

You will provide care to patients predominantly with Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (CO PD) through different pathways, such as supported early discharge, home visits for hospital discharge as well as chronic disease management. The team also run the Home Oxygen Service in Leeds which provides assessment and monitoring for respiratory and non-respiratory patients requiring home oxygen.

We are looking for passionate, dynamic and flexible individuals who are able to adapt to changing demands and workload. You will be a natural leader, enjoy working as part of a multi-disciplinary team and have an interest in service development.

The respiratory service is a 7 day service operating from 8:30am to 4:30pm, due to the nature of the role, it is essential that you are able to travel independently across the city and have access to a suitable vehicle for business purposes.

The level of check required is dependent upon the position that you have applied for. The Trust will administer the DBS check on your behalf and will recover the cost from your salary. There will be no charge if you are enrolled in the DBS Update Service.
