Head of Occupational Health

£53,168-£62,001 (Band 8B)

An exciting opportunity has arisen in Occupational Health for permanent Head OH Nurse role. Full or part time applications will be considered with the option of some home working available.

Because of an increase in workload due to Coronavirus and the planned retirement of one senior nurse job sharing the role of Head of Service, this senior opportunity has become available.

Our friendly and dynamic Nurse led team includes a sessional Consultant OH Physician, OH Nurse Advisors, Trainee Advisors, Clinic Nurse and Technician assisted by our enthusiastic admin support team. The department also employs a full-time Mental Health Practitioner and funds rapid access to physiotherapy services.

We provide OH services to the NHS, local businesses and individuals including taxi/HGV medicals and normally (prior to Covid19) a busy and successful travel clinic run by nurse prescribers.

We are looking for a highly motivated Occupational Health Advisor with knowledge and experience of working in the NHS. You will hold a Degree or MSc in OH and ideally be on the third part of the NMC register as a specialist practitioner. You will preferably be a nurse prescriber (although training is available for this) Excellent communication skills, a passion to develop, encourage and support others and a good working knowledge of Microsoft applications is vital.
