The Urgent and Emergency Care Centre have an exciting opportunity to appoint an enthusiastic, experienced and highly motivated individual to take responsibility for the education and training and development of the nursing staff within the department.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in emergency nursing and be passionate about delivering high quality care in combination with educating and developing staff. As part of the role you will be expected to work clinically in the department ensuring quality patient care is delivered.

You should be able to demonstrate an ability to deliver training and education in flexible and innovative ways. The role also includes assisting in the development of new clinical guidelines and procedures.

The role will include supporting the senior management in the development of our services and staff.

The cost of undertaking a DBS disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure, and you can choose to have this deducted from either your first month’s salary or in instalments over your first 3 months’ salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.


The Trust offers free car parking at the Woodside Building (Woodside Building, Moorgate Road, Rotherham, S60 2TY) if your interview is at the Main Hospital Site, which is a five-minute walk from Woodside. You will be asked for proof of your qualifications at the conditional offer stage of your employment. If you are unable to provide evidence the offer may be withdrawn.

New starters to the NHS will start at the bottom of the advertised salary band.
