The Estates and Facilities department within St Helena currently requires a Maintenance Technician to join the team, working between sites on a full time, permanent basis.

Reporting to the Maintenance Manager, the successful applicant will be required to ensure that St Helena grounds, buildings and equipment are maintained properly and safely to agreed standards through a range of general maintenance. They will be responsible for undertaking and supervising a range of general internal/external maintenance and decoration of St Helena premises and grounds.

 In addition, they will assist in the provision of an efficient maintenance and portering service to St Helena, ensuring the security of the buildings and safety of patients, staff and visitors at all times.

 The successful applicant will be educated to GCSE level or have proven work experience with transferable skills. They will have experience of a range of general maintenance, both internal and external, and have proven DIY skills and excellent interpersonal skills.
