HCOP Team Leader Physiotherapist
Band 7
We have an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled physiotherapist who is passionate about working with older people in the acute setting. The post is a permanent position. The hours are full time (37.5hours) and based across the Queens Medical Centre and City Campus of NUH.
The successful candidate will be based within the Health Care of Older People physiotherapy team covering 8 acute wards at QMC. You will work alongside the Advance Practitioners and Team Leader delivering senior leadership to this service. You will be expected to have a broad base of acute skills and must have strong clinical knowledge and experience of working with older people. You must be able to work with people with dementia and understand the complexities this adds to the treatment plans for this cohort of patients. Due to the acute nature of the post you will have the skills to treat acute complex respiratory patients including the training and development of junior staff. As one of the Team Leader on the team your role will be key in the operational delivery of the service.
The Therapy Department is committed to personal development with excellent opportunities for personal and professional growth. You will be supported by the Therapy Services Manager and will be part of a large therapy workforce. NUH supports 7 day working; you will be required to work flexibly across seven days and across campus as required to meet the needs of Therapy Services.
