We have an exciting opportunity for a Speciality PA to join the Colorectal Surgery team, based at the Queens Medical Centre. This is a part time post - 20 hours per week, Wednesday- Friday.
This is a diverse energetic team within the surgical division. As a Specialty PA you will provide administrative support to the Colorectal clinical team, whilst also managing a number of Colorectal waiting lists.
The successful candidate must be an enthusiastic individual with proven secretarial/personal assistant experience. You must have outstanding organisation and time management skills. You will use your judgement skills to prioritise tasks and solve problems. You must be able to forward think and manage your own workload.
You will require strong communication skills as this role entails liaising with a wide range of individuals including patients, members of the public, clinical staff and managers. You will need to be confident in making phone calls and attending meetings.
You must have a good understanding of current NHS targets including 18 week Referral to Treatment and Cancer targets. You will need to be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of confidentiality issues, be well motivated and reliable.
Working within the Colorectal administrative team will require you to work in a busy environment alongside other members of the team to ensure consistency and idea sharing. It is expected that you will have strong IT skills and a knowledge of Hospital systems including; Medway PAS, Medical Office, Notis and DHR is desirable.
