Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an innovative and enthusiastic Band 4 Physiotherapy Technical Instructor to bring new ideas and share good practice within a busy, friendly and supportive team.

You will be part of the therapy team working on Ward 2 at Coalville Hospital where you will have the opportunity to increase your knowledge and skills by working with a variety of orthopaedic, medical and surgical conditions. The ward also promotes integrated working with a variety of members of the multi-disciplinary team.

Your role will involve demonstrating the ability to multi-task in a busy environment, work under your own initiative and be able to manage your workload flexibly to meet the demands of the service. You will be responsible for assessing and progressing patients treatments on the ward. The job combines a mixture of practical skills including handling and treating patients, alongside advising, reassuring and educating patients, relatives and carers.

You will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team. The service offers structured Appraisal and Clinical Supervision Systems, and actively promotes Continued Professional Development through in-service and external training.

You will work closely with the multi-disciplinary team, including social care colleagues and senior therapy staff.
