The two Trusts joined together to provide integrated mental health, physical health and learning disability services to communities.

Job Title – Senior Occupational Therapist

Band - 6

Base – Lewis Lane, Cirencester

Salary – £31,365-£37,890

Hours per week – 37.5 per week

We have a substantive opportunity for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our Integrated Community Team based in referral centre in Cirencester.

The ICT consists of Community Nursing, Physiotherapy, Occupational Therapy and Reablement who work closely with our co-located Adult Social Care colleagues.

We work in partnership with GPs, community hospitals, mental health services and voluntary organisations to enable people to live as independently as possible at home. The ethos of the team is a Reablement, person-led approach to recovery and self-management, to ensure we offer care close to home, thus avoiding unnecessary admissions to bed based services.

One of our team strengths is that we strive to work together, and constantly improve. If you would like to see a little more about how our team have adapted and made a difference during the current COVID pandemic, please see our You Tube clip to the right.

We are an active player in the development of the local Primary Care Network entering an exciting time as we work with our partners to develop local place based models of care in our newly merged Organisation with the local Mental Health and Learning Disability Trust, 2Gether NHS Foundation Trust.

This is a multifaceted role involving both triage and urgent response for rapid assessment of patients via the referral centre.

The caseload is varied and requires robust clinical triage and decision making around caseload priorities and delegation of work to other OT colleagues.

This role would suit an experienced clinician with a high level of clinical and professional skill, who is keen to develop their leadership skills within the Integrated community team.

This is an ideal opportunity for a Band 6 therapist wanting the opportunity to work in a community team at the forefront of development across one of the rural communities of Gloucestershire. This role will also offer the opportunity to develop leadership skills and supervise junior members of staff.

As a response to Covid 19, we have altered shift patterns to meet the service needs, if you would like more information regarding this please do not hesitate to give us a call.

Expressions of interest or informal enquiries should be directed to the

Professional Lead, Lydia David on 07580 714632 or email Lydia.david@ghc.nhs.uk
