Is your passion as a nurse, making a real difference for people with a cognitive impairment? Are you a qualified or newly qualified Mental Health Nurse and/or a Learning Disability Nurse?

If so, then the Kite Unit is the place for you to work! The unit focuses on short term assessment, rehabilitation, neuro-behavioural/psychiatric and disability management to support people with a cognitive impairment after experiencing a brain injury.

You will be part of the multidisciplinary team providing high quality, person centred rehabilitation programs. Supporting patients with complex medical, behavioural, physical and neurological needs by using evidence based patient centred principles that are responsive to individual needs. Some experience of working with people who due to their neurological condition which combined with other health and/or psychiatric need, creates significant difficulties or leads to the presentation of challenging behaviour is desirable but not essential as you will undertake a vigorous induction and training programme. This is a truly rewarding and challenging role.
