Children’s Occupational Therapist

We are seeking an exceptional individual to join the Occupational Therapy team at Children and Family Health Surrey.

Children and Family Health Surrey,a Surrey-wide NHS community health service for children and young people from birth up to 19 years of age .

By working together as one service, Children and Family Health Surrey will ensure children and young people continue to be at the centre of the care they receive as well as improve access to healthcare services across the county and in north east Hampshire and Farnham.

You will join a service that will be delivered through an exciting new partnership between three of Surrey’s established and respected community healthcare providers and employers: CSH Surrey and First Community Health and Care and Surrey’s mental health provider, Surrey and Borders NHS Foundation Trust. Together they provide a single community health service that includes health visiting, school-age nursing and immunisations, therapies (dietetics, speech and language therapy, occupational therapy and physiotherapy), emotional wellbeing services and specialist health services for children with medical, physical and learning disability needs.

For the first time, Children and Family Health Surrey will bring together physical and emotional health services that are designed first and foremost around the needs of the children, young people and their families.

You will need to be ready to play your part in the local development of multidisciplinary assessment, the implementation of a single point of access for all children’s services and working towards ‘a seamless service’ with the Local Authority OTs, in preparation for joint commissioning.

A team player, you will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills and be comfortable working independently, using your own initiative.

You will require a recognised degree in Occupational Therapy and be registered with the Health and Care professional Council (HCPC) UK .

You need to be a car user with access to a vehicle.

Recruitment - Golden Hello

Successful applicants, who have not worked for CSH within the last 12 months, will receive an amount of £2000 paid in two instalments: - £1000 upon commencement and a further £1000 following successful completion of probation. These payments are pro-rata for part- time posts. Payments will be subject to tax and NI National Insurance in the usual way.We don’t operate Golden Hellos for Band 7 or Band 8 posts, Bank posts or fixed term contracts.
