Customer Service Apprentice

We have a vacancy for an apprentice to work in the Acute Medicine Directorate.

The person we are looking for will receive training to work in a Customer Service role for the Directorate during the apprenticeship, providing support to a ward team, and will also provide support to the Directorate Administrators with supervision. This part of the role is office based.

The apprentice will also work for part of the week in the Reception area on two wards in the Directorate, so we are looking for someone who is happy to work in a clinical area of the hospital.
You will have the opportunity to shadow other areas in the hospital as part of your off the job training.

The role will require regular use of the e-rostering and OWL systems for which training will be provided.

As part of your learning you will complete an educational pathway with Richard Huish College, which we will fully support you with.

College Interview date: 1 October 2020, if successful you will then attend a later 2nd Interview with the manager on a date to be confirmed.

Richard Huish College, based in Taunton, is a Beacon College rated outstanding by Ofsted. This is a fixed term contract for 14 months, gaining valuable work experience in Customer Services and a Level 2 qualification.

Apprentice Salary:

1st year Apprentice - all age groups

£8,115 per annum (£4.15 per hour)

Age dependant after the 1st year - if applicable.

Under 18 - £8,897 per annum (£4.55 per hour)

18-20 - £12,612.08 per annum (£6.45 per hour)

21-24 - £16,034 per annum (£8.20 per hour)

Over 25 - £17,051 per annum (£8.72 per hour)
