The NIHR Clinical Research Network (CRN) is looking for a Research Nurse with a passion for innovation and advancing research into new research sites.

England (NIHR CRN WE) we work with local hospitals, Trusts, GP practices, hospices, schools, nurseries and other community providers to ensure that the opportunity to participate in clinical research studies is available to as many people as possible.

Some of our studies have the potential to influence health care across the world. Together we are working at the cutting edge of technology, treatments and medical science to bring our local population access to the best care that we can provide. We aim to assist people to be born well, live well and die well.

We have a geographical footprint that covers Cheltenham and Gloucester, Weston-super-Mare, Bristol, Bath and Swindon. This includes nine Trusts and over 200 GP Practices. We interact with our numerous and varied local stakeholders, our national colleagues in other CRNs and the NIHR Coordinating Centres in London and Leeds.

We are a relatively small team who are passionate about what we do. In order to work effectively we need people from a variety of backgrounds as our roles include communications, administration and training, as well as interacting with the public and patients. Not all of the team are from a clinical background but we all contribute towards the delivery of research.

In this exciting and varied role, you will have the opportunity to assist with the delivery of NIHR portfolio studies and to support GP practices and other primary care organisations to engage with and deliver research. You will be part of the Peripatetic Research Delivery Team employed by UHB to support research delivery in community settings and will have access to training and regular supervision.

The job is fixed term until 31 March 2022
