Occupational Therapy PCN

Job Reference: 849-ECCH136-19

East Coast Community Healthcare CIC
Gorleston PCN
£30,401- £37,267

East Coast Community Healthcare CIC (ECCH) is an expanding and exciting social enterprise and employer in the East Anglian region. We provide a range of NHS, community health and social care services across Norfolk and Waveney.

Our purpose: Building Healthy Communities by delivering high quality, professionally led and innovative services.

ECCH is passionate about its cultural development programme, called Evolve, which has enabled us to build an 'intentional culture' within ECCH to help us meet our future challenges and be the best we can be. The aim of the Evolve programme is for all staff to feel a sense of connection across ECCH and share in the collective achievement of our goals. Evolve is based on a set of four signature behaviours that underpin how we do things in order to achieve our purpose:

We Listen, We Learn, We Lead | Work Together, Achieve Together | My Accountability, My Responsibility | Be Cost Conscious, Respect Our Resources

All staff are expected to positively demonstrate these behaviours in the workplace. With our staff engaging and participating in the Evolve programme we have created a culture that we all want to work in and which, we believe, benefits our patients, service users, our partners and communities.

We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic Occupational Therapist to join the Gorleston Primary Care Home. The Primary Care Home is a multidisciplinary team including Occupational Therapist's, physios, community nurses, pharmacists, as well as linking with specialist teams such as continence and neuro, early supported discharge, tissue viability and good links to Primary Care. We support safe discharges home from the acute hospitals including offering short term rehabilitation support: we also assess and provide equipment to patients experiencing acute health problems or on-going deterioration due to long term conditions and to palliative patients, enabling them to remain at home as long as possible and avoid hospital admission if possible.
Gorleston has a diverse population over a relatively small geographical area. Our team is friendly and supportive of each other with high quality patient care our goal.

Our aim is to promote recovery and well-being, whilst empowering patients to self-manage and maximise their independence using health coaching techniques. You will have the opportunity to utilise your occupational therapy skills to the full. We normally hold clinics for those where this is appropriate for a first assessment (this is currently not happening due to Covid restrictions) and also carry out home assessments.

East Coast Community Healthcare (ECCH) is a social enterprise delivering NHS contracts. ECCH follows Agenda for Change terms and conditions and supports the transfer of NHS pension for those already in the scheme. In return for your commitment, we offer a wide range of staff benefits including investment in career development, salary sacrifice lease car scheme, child care vouchers, NHS discounts, pension schemes, flexible working. For a full list of employee benefits please see our website. As a social enterprise we actively encourage employee shareholding and participation in the development of our enterprise. We are based in Great Yarmouth and Waveney.

If you are a passionate occupational therapist who would like to be part of this organisation, we would love to hear from you. For further information, or to arrange an informal visit please contact Health Boyd Therapy Lead.
