Maintenance Craftsperson (Shift)

Hours: Full Time 37. 5hours

Band 4

 

 

A position has arisen within our team for a Maintenance Craftsperson (Shift). This role significantly improves Estates ability to support our clinical services and make a real difference.

 

Applications are welcomed from suitably experienced candidates to carry out the duties of a Maintenance Craftsman working on a shift basis. Preferred candidates will be either mechanical bias with some electrical knowledge or of an Electrical bias with some mechanical knowledge and experience. Duties include the repair and maintenance of Trust assets and planned preventative maintenance on selected equipment.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to work on a shift system covering seven days a week, eight hours a day shift. Five days 8am – 4pm, day off, five evenings 4pm – 12 midnight then four days off. The successful applicant will be based at St Peters but will be expected to work cross site as required by the Works Officer.

 

The post holder will be expected to work on their own initiative and prioritise work requests.

 

We are supportive of continuous development and it is therefore anticipated and desirable that the successful post holder will undertake additional training and attend courses if deemed necessary.
