Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.

Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust are working together with Adult Social Care across Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland (LLR) in order to deliver a newly commissioned Home First service offer alongside core Community Therapy.

As a result there has been investment in staffing in order to ensure that services can be delivered by the right therapist in the right place at the right time, and to ensure that the local population across LLR receive timely high quality therapy. LLR has also been selected as an accelerator site for the national Ageing Well Programme.

This is therefore a really exciting time to be joining this relatively newly formed service which brings together an integrated health and social care offer delivered by community-based nursing, therapy and adult social care teams which:

  • support people to remain in their homes when they are having a health or social care crisis, rather than needing to go into hospital or a care home
  • help people get home from hospital quickly and provide them with rehabilitation and reablement to help restore their health, wellbeing and independence
  • deliver high quality core therapy reablement, rehabilitation and recovery to people within their own homes

We have an exciting opportunity to join our existing Clinical and Operational therapy leadership team by undertaking an Operational Therapy Lead role based at Loughborough Hospital. The successful post holder will provide operational leadership, working closely with the clinical therapy lead and as part of an integrated therapy and nursing hub to ensure an effective and efficient therapy service working effectively as part of the LLR system. This post requires a level of personal responsibility and we are looking for a highly motivated individual who is resilient and proactive, with the ability to prioritise their own workload, use their initiative and has the ability to work on their own and as part of a team. You will demonstrate excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills and be able to adapt to a changing and pressurised environment whilst being flexible to meet the needs of the service.

Applicants should have a broad range of knowledge and transferable skills gained either through prior experience at a Band 6/7 level. You will be supported to develop by our established team of operational leads, but must be able to demonstrate your skills to lead and manage community therapy teams within a locality hub and to promote effective teamwork within the wider Primary and Secondary Health Care Teams to the benefit of the patient and service delivery.

 

We are looking for a determined and self-motivated individual who can make a difference to the care of patients from all backgrounds, growing your skillset and to challenge the way we do things to ensure the best outcomes are achieved for patients.

As a service we operate Monday to Friday 8am-6pm and Saturday/Sunday/Bank holidays 8am-4pm. Hours/days worked are based on a rota system.

We recognise the need to develop modern working practices to enable employees to maximise their performance and productivity whilst maintaining a good work life balance. To this aim the Trust has adopted an Agile working methodology as outlined within the Trust Agile working Policy.
