TITLE OF POST: Tuberculosis (TB) Clinical Nurse Specialist Service


GRADE: Band 6 fixed term


SALARY: £31,365 to £37,890 per annum




DEPARTMENT: Division of Medicine


HOURS: 37.5 Hours fixed term to cover Maternity




An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced registered nurse to join the TB team which is based at SLH. The successful candidate will work with the Band 7 Lead Nurse.


The TB team meets the needs of the local population and ensures that a high standard of care is provided in relation to screening and treatment of TB. The post holder will be responsible for the management of a defined caseload of TB patients and their contacts working as part of the multidisciplinary team and autonomously. The role will provide a challenge to a registered nurse with the appropriate experience.

The successful candidate must have 3 years post registration experience; this should include experience in looking after TB patients plus 1 year experience in the Infectious disease and Respiratory medicine speciality. Candidates should possess excellent decision making and clinical assessments skills. All applicants need a full driving licence.
