An opportunity has arisen for a System Development Manager (Configuration) to be based at Trust HQ, Exeter.

The post holder will be expected to be the subject matter expert in the Trust 999 Computer Aided Despatch (CAD) system – this is currently C3.

They must have demonstrable and extensive knowledge of A&E service line operational working practices and Ambulance Quality Indicators.

The primary purposes of the role are to:

  • Design, develop, test and implement changes to the 999 CAD system

  • Act as the primary liaison between the Clinical Hubs and IT services

  • Lead in implementing upgrades and additional functionality to systems in line with local and national initiatives

  • Provide system specialist support and guidance to the wider IM&T Directorate and other Trust Directorates

  • Initiate and plan complex workload activities for forward resource planning

  • Troubleshoot system issues, providing appropriate solutions

  • Manage the contractual relationship between the Trust and third-party application providers via regular service review meetings
