We are looking to recruit a full time Band 6 Deputy Ward Manager to work as part of the multi disciplinary team within the Mental Health Rehabilitation Services. If you are flexible, recovery focused, self motivated with good communication and organisational skills this is a great opportunity for you to join our team.

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about the opportunity to work collaboratively with patients to develop independent living skills and community integration, and someone who is committed to supporting patients through their inpatient rehabilitation journey.

As the Deputy Ward Manager you will hold a pivotal role in providing clear leadership to the team. You will need to be motivated and dynamic in your approach.

This role will include the supervision of other staff members within the teams; mentoring to develop best practice and promote professional growth. Supervision will include the delivery of the Rehabilitation pathways, monitoring the performance of the Health Care staff. Management responsibilities includesupporting day to day management of the shift and the unit in ensuring effective patient care, MDT reviews, referral meetings, and management meetings, assessments in county and out of county and supporting bed management processes. Your role is also to ensure patient care is of the highest standards, you act as a role model at all times and use your initiative to maintain quality and safety.

The post will be based across the county within the 2 rehabilitation units, predominantly at Keith Winter House. Keith Winter House is a 15 bedded, 24 hour Rehabilitation unit. We support patients with complex mental health difficulties predominantly psychosis. The service has a Recovery ethos and offers an holistic person centred approach with a focus on promoting optimal social recovery, instilling hope for the future whilst supporting patients in developing coping strategies, empowering self management of symptoms and an ability for increased independence.
