Health and Wellbeing Nurse

As directed by management and line managed by the Lead Nurse, the post-holder will be an integral member of a multi-disciplinary team within Nottinghamshire, leading on BBV testing, wellbeing interventions, blood borne virus screening, health and wellbeing assessments, supporting drug and alcohol prescribing and detoxification programs and support the team in the development and delivery of clinical health.


You will undertake duties involved in the day to day operation, management and development of drug and alcohol prevention, treatment, recovery and well being interventions. Specific duties will also include assessment of health and wellbeing needs, leading on a BBV testing and vaccination programme. Supporting the work of Nottinghamshire’s Hep C specialist team  and supporting the delivery of alcohol detoxification across Nottinghamshire.

You will have excellent engagement skills, be committed to high quality service provision and the active involvement of service users. You will have some training of relevance and or qualifications and desirable experience when it comes to addressing substance misuse issues. You will be required to work flexibly as required and work openly to maintain the most appropriate level of service provision.
