An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Lead Nurse on Cubley Court, Kingsway. Both on our Female and Male Ward – Dementia Ward, Kingsway Hospital.

Cubley Court was recently awarded a rating of GOOD by the Care Quality Commission.

The team is motivated and forward-thinking. The focus of the ward is on delivering high-quality assessment and treatment, with an emphasis on discharge.

This would be a unique opportunity for anyone who has the skills and experience to be part of a leadership team, in implementing and evaluating the delivery of a High Quality / Innovative service.

In addition to clinical leadership, there is an operational management component to the role with responsibility for supporting the senior nurse in the management of the ward budget, sickness management, training and staff development.

Good communication skills are essential for engaging clients, carers/families and multi-professionals.

The post is a challenging but rewarding role.

Applicants are expected to have experience at Band 5 level (this would normally equate to two years).

Robust management supervision and clinical supervision is available to support the post holder.

DBS Check
The cost of undertaking a DBS (Disclosure and Barring Service) disclosure will be met by the individual. The Trust will meet the initial costs of the disclosure which will be deducted from your first month’s salary. The current price of a standard check is £23 and an enhanced check is £40.
