Clinical Lead

22.5hours per week

About the role

We are looking for an outstanding Clinical Lead to drive, innovate and deliver on strategic development, clinical expertise and quality in an ever-evolving Rheumatology service in East Kent. Working closely with our Consultant Rheumatologist, Service Manager, Clinical Nurse Specialists, Developing Clinical Nurse Specialists and Admin Staff, you will play a pivotal role within the community service that truly integrates with the wider community, including primary care and the local acute Trust.

The clinical lead role will be pivotal in supporting the service with the current growth and development plans and provide essential clinical expertise. You will demonstrate a sound understanding of the clinical competencies required of the clinical staff within the Rheumatology pathway as well as an ability to lead and effectively implement frameworks and services to meet the evolving requirements of the service and patients.

You will be proactive, highly self-motivated and achievement orientated. An inspirational leader who will engage and motivate and develop our clinical team in East Kent in achieving clinical excellence. You will be resilient in terms of remaining focused in picking up challenges of an ever-changing NHS landscape. You will be committed to deliver a quality clinical service meeting the clinical and commercial needs of the service.

Developing and promoting a positive and dynamic image and culture, you will be key in fostering productive relationships with key stakeholders such as local Consultants and GP’s and provide support and training to other clinical staff and students.

You’ll be a people manager with a track record of delivering results in a field-based role, particularly in a healthcare/NHS related role. You’ll be an excellent communicator and an assertive decision maker who is passionate about delivering and maintaining high standards of clinical care and service delivery.

This role can also support occasional home working.
