Our 3,500 staff provide services to 4.7m people across Kent, Surrey, Sussex and North East Hampshire. We handle over 1 million calls to 999 and 1 million calls to NHS 111 every year.

We are recruiting experienced IHCD Ambulance Technicians to help with In keeping with operational need across the South East for Covid-19. The experience and commitment of experienced Technicians is being sought to support our Ambulance Response Programme (ARP) agenda.

This role will suit proactive individuals with a sound clinical background and strong leadership skills. You should also demonstrate high levels of personal commitment to facilitate the delivery of a patient focused service. Significant experience in pre-hospital and emergency settings is mandatory. We also welcome applications for those wishing to re-join the NHS in this role.

To succeed in this role, you will have a genuine desire to serve the community, excellent communication, clinical skills and be dedicated to compassionate patient care. Candidates will need to demonstrate the capability to work autonomously, advanced problem solving skills and have the ability to remain calm in potentially stressful and demanding situations.

Mandatory Requirements:

  • GCSE English and Maths grades 4-9 (old A-C) or equivalent
  • IHCD Technician qualification only
  • Valid Emergency Driving qualification
  • Full C1 Licence
  • Secamb are also currently working through how to return to practice staff who have left employment either through choice or retirement, and at this time also welcome other experienced clinicians to apply to support the TRUST via a bank agreement.
  • We are recruiting for all areas in the trust due to extra resources needed due to the COVID19 pandemic.
  • Please note, all qualifications will need to be verified by the candidate producing original copies of certificates. If you have misplaced your certificates, please request copies from the relevant examination board and upload a statement detailing this to the application form as required.
