An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Occupational Therapist to join Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust. This post will initially be based at Bognor Regis War Memorial Hospital's Intermediate Care Unit, but the plan is to offer experience in the community and at sites throughout the coastal area of West Sussex, including Worthing, Chichester and Bognor Regis.

Inpatient Rehabilitation: based in a local community hospital, working as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver rehabilitation programmes and facilitate discharge. The role involves working under the direction of other therapists within the team but also provides the responsibility for delegating work to Therapy Assistants and Practitioners.

Potential rotations include:

  • Community Responsive Services: supporting patients with short-term packages of rehabilitation within their own homes. The role involves caring for patients with a wide range of conditions, and aims to prevent hospital admission and restore functional independence.
  • Falls Prevention: across the county.

The role requires travelling, so a car driver with access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential. Some flexible working will also be necessary, including weekend and possible evening hours.

If you are interested in joining a service that is compassionate, inspiring and motivated to deliver excellence throughout the community then look no further.
