We are currently seeking a highly skilled and motivated MRI Radiographer to join The BMI Alexandra Hospital MRI department. The successful candidate will have an exciting opportunity to perform a wide verity of examinations such as vascular, neurological, musculoskeletal, breast and abdominal. The role will require rotation between the 3T Siemens Skyra and Siemens 1.5T Avanto and being part of our dedicated MRI team. The successful candidate will be expected to work between 8am to 8pm on a seven day working rota which will include weekend working as part of their normal contracted hours.

The MRI department aims to provide a supportive environment with a focus on patient care, safe and high quality practice.

The ideal candidate will have 2 years post grad experience of cross sectional imaging with preference being given to those with MRI experience and, preferably skills in intravenous contrast administration.

The BMI Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle is part of the largest network of independent hospitals in the UK. Our 59 hospitals have always been at the heart of their communities with imaging services playing an integral part in supporting a range of clinical specialities including orthopaedics, cardiology, urology, neurology and cancer care.

BMI Healthcare currently provides a broad spectrum of imaging and cardiology services including; general radiography, MRI, CT, Ultrasound, Mammography, Nuclear Medicine, Neurophysiology Interventional and Cardiac labs.

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Degree or Diploma in Diagnostic Radiography.
  • Healthcare Professionals Council (HCPC) registration.
  • A general radiographic background / training.
  • IT systems familiarity e.g. RIS / PACS.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare service sector and the systems and processes used.
  • Aware of College of Radiographers and HCPC Code of Conduct / Accountability.

Duties of this role include:

  • Support the team to deliver care that help improve the health of the individual and wider community.
  • Support the team in demonstrating compassion through effective relationships based on empathy, respect and dignity.
  • Develop own competence to deliver effective care and treatments through improving clinical/technical knowledge / skill, and expertise.
  • Communicate appropriately with others involved in the care of the patient.
  • Act as an advocate for safeguarding patients; demonstrate courage to speak up when there are concerns about care.
