We have recently been successful in our bid for £30 million of national funding to develop an Integrated Front Door, expand our Emergency Department, purchase land for potential expansion and to help us develop new models of care, such as an intensive rehabilitation offer. And we have many more ambitious plans. This is a great and exciting milestone which will help us to maintain quality and safety for people in Swindon and the surrounding areas over the coming years.

The Therapy Team at GWH has a full time vacancy for an innovative physiotherapist or occupational therapist. Part time and job share would be considered.

The physiotherapist will have potential to rotate across The Front Door Team, community COPD, and the Inpatient (Rehabilitation and Respiratory) team. The Occupational Therapist will be static within the Front Door Team.

Applicants can be current band 6 Physiotherapists/Occupational Therapists or experienced Band 5 therapists.

Previous inpatient ward experience is essential.

The candidate will be expected to take part in on-call shifts (PT only) and weekend working as per our rota.

Current employees should be aware that this position is advertised as a GWH position and appointment ends any TUPE protection.

All candidates are required to pay for their own DBS check where applicable. Standard DBS check costs £26 and will be recovered from your first pay; Enhanced DBS check costs £44 and will be split and recovered over the first 2 pay.

Bank posts requiring a DBS check; payment must be made prior to commencing.

Apprentices are exempt from payment.
