We are seeking to appoint an ambitious, hard-working and well-motivated individual, to support the operation and development of the Pharmacy Quality Control & Quality Assurance Department in Swansea Bay University Health Board.

The role will primarily involve the day to day management of the Quality Control laboratory including analytical testing and planning and undertaking Environmental Monitoring (i.e. Quality Assurance of the MHRA licensed Pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities). The successful applicant will become part of a busy team working within our Quality Control Laboratory and in the Pharmacy and Radiopharmacy aseptic manufacturing units. The Quality Control department performs testing of pharmaceutical products, facilities and equipment involved in pharmaceutical manufacturing activities.

You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of staff across the Pharmacy and Radiopharmacy service, and contribute on a range of quality related matters, assisting the QA&C Manager and Deputy in providing a service to users within the Health Board.

Candidates should have extensive knowledge of GMP and GLP, with experience of working in a regulated pharmaceutical manufacturing facility and Quality Control laboratory. It is essential that you have a science-based degree or equivalent.

This post provides an ideal opportunity for graduates looking to further develop as a manager in the field of Pharmaceutical Quality Control and Quality Assurance.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
