Salary: AfC Band 5

Hours: 37.5 hours a week

The Blood Transfusion department is seeking a highly motivated, committed and experienced assistant Information Analyst who will lead on the preparation and completion of datasets and returns to support the Blood Transfusion external and internal statutory requirements. In addition the post holder will liaise with staff of all levels and the Hospital Transfusion Committee to resolve data issues impacting the accuracy and completeness of Trust information.

This position offers a proactive and motivated candidate the chance to expand current proficiencies and develop new skills within a changing and challenging environment.

The position will require a good understanding of analytical and statistical techniques that can be applied to healthcare information.

You will have strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills both verbal and written including the ability to explain the information you produce in detail to a range of people; both internal and external customers and stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will have a helpful, supportive and professional attitude to work, is highly organised, able to work under pressure and have the ability prioritise and manage their workload, excellent attention to detail and high level IT skills are essential.
