We are looking for nursing staff to join our Continence Services as Bladder and Bowel Dysfunction nurses. We have two posts to fill and would welcome applications from newly qualified Band 5s, a Band 5 who is looking to develop into a Band 6 and develop their skills in this area of specialist nursing or a more experience established Band 6. We have flexibility with the hours and are looking for full time or part time.

Working alongside rest of the team you will provide expert advice and act as a specialist resource on bladder and bowel dysfunction to staff, patients, care homes and the general public. You’ll provide specialised care by initiating, interpreting and acting upon information from bladder and bowel diaries, symptom profiles, portable ultrasound, digital rectal examination and urinalysis in the assessment of complex patients including intermittent self catheterisation and the prescribing of bladder and bowel products. Care may take place in a patent’s home, in a care home setting or a clinic.
