An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Nurse Specialist to the Acute Pain/Inpatient Pain Management Team!

This post is a includes a significant amount of cross site working predominately at the Leicester Royal Infirmary and Leicester General Hospital each week

We are looking for a professional, dynamic and motivated individual with the appropriate clinical skills and experience for this role. You will be working in a busy team which supports all hospital specialities including all aspects of post-operative care as well as medical services. The successful candidate must be committed to delivering a high quality service, and have experience in pain management.

You will be required to work 22.5 hrs over 3 x 7.5 hour shifts. These will be flexible each week to meet the needs of the service. This post is vital in supporting patients, ensuring their pain needs are met through consultation with medical colleagues and ward nurses. Candidates must be competent with all aspects of Acute Pain Management for surgical patients and have an interest in complex pain problems.

The successful applicant will need to demonstrate self-management skills and will be expected to participate in the effective clinical leadership; ensuring their practice and the practice of others guarantees patient safety.
