An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Head of Medicines Optimisation, who welcomes a challenge, to join the Medicines Management Team in NHS Midlands and Lancashire Commissioning Support Unit (MLCSU). The position would ideally suit someone who is looking for a secondment into a step up role.

Morecambe Bay CCG represents 36 General Practices with 8/9 integrated care neighborhoods. The CCG understands the vital role for Medicines Optimisation in supporting the clinical and cost effective use of medicines. The successful candidate will be based at the CCG offices in Lancaster, Lancashire and have responsibility for leading on projects that address the safe and effective use of medicines across primary and secondary care providers. The successful candidate must be prepared to travel.

You will be a qualified pharmacist with post registration experience in a primary care, hospital or community setting. You will be highly self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal/ communication skills and possess project leadership qualities or experience.
