.University of Leicester NHS Trust is looking to recruit a highly motivated, reliable and enthusiastic electrical engineer. The individual must be able to work well under pressure to carry out supervision of reactive and planned preventative maintenance teams and contractors within an Acute Hospital environment.

We need a flexible candidate capable of working in a busy and challenging environment. Supervisory experience would be an advantage but is not essential. You must possess a formal relevant City & Guilds, NVQ or equivalent qualifications, a full and clean driving licence and evidence of an apprenticeship or continuing professional and personal development with good IT, literacy skills, with the ability to work on your own and work as part of a team to achieve shared goals.

The individual will be conversant with all aspects of electrical and mechanical systems in order to undertake and supervise of a range of general engineering, electrical and mechanical duties and maintenance procedures.

The role includes working in a days based role working from 0800hrs to 1600hrs Monday to Friday. The role also includes participation in a 1 in 6 on call rota. The candidate will be expected to carry out overtime as required to support the needs of the department
