Locum Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (with GIM) (6 months pending substantive appointment)

 

 

 

Applicants are invited for a locum consultant in Respiratory Medicine for an initial 6 month period pending substantive appointment to a replacement post in our friendly respiratory department. The successful applicant will join 7 respiratory consultants and 2 acute physicians with respiratory specialism (approx 8 FTE including this post) in a role including ward duties on a rotational timetable, respiratory clinics, procedure lists and a small contribution to the general medical on call rota. The current 10PA job plan includes 4 weeks in 16 on wards, 2-3 general and 1-2 sleep/ventilation clinics a week when off the ward, physician of the day duties 1 in 30 weekdays and 1 in 30 weekends, weekend respiratory ward rounds 1 in 8, and a contribution to the pleural procedure lists, but this can be adapted to suit the interests and experience of the successful applicant.
