We help our 65 NHS Trust clients implement tactical measures to improve workforce efficiency and productivity as part of an overall workforce strategy. We are seeking experienced Theatre Practitioners who are motivated, enthusiastic with excellent communication and team working skills to join our bank with Plymouth Hospital Trust In order to apply for a post, you must have a minimum of six months’ experience within the last 2 years in the speciality and hold a ODP qualification. The post holder should be able: • To accept responsibility for the safe preparation and organisation of the, scrub, recovery and surgical areas. • To participate in all operating department roles and procedures relating to the pre and post operative phases of patient care as directed by the Theatre Sister. • To ensure that the appropriate equipment and stores provision is made to match the type of operations being undertaken for each operating session. • To maintain accurate records at all times, ensuring appropriate reporting mechanisms are used • To be responsible for the accurate and timely completion of all patient care records on the electronic patient management system • To ensure that an effective level of communication is achieved with all grades of staff, patients, relatives.
