Registered Nurse– Forensic Mental Health and Psychiatry

We currently have some unique and exciting opportunities within Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust which will allow the successful candidates to gain either Fully flexible or regular bank shifts and valuable experience within community nursing.

Locations covered: Bluebird House, Tatchbury Mount, Calmore, Southampton, SO40 2RN

Bluebird House is one of six Secure Forensic Mental Health Services for Young People within the NHS. It is a highly specialist purpose built unit which has an established and dedicated multi-disciplinary team. The service offers 20 secure beds for young people aged 12-18 years of age with highly complex mental health needs and challenging behaviour. We pride ourselves on the way in which we deliver our therapeutic and educational programmes in a safe and secure manner. The key to achieving this is the way in which we establish excellent therapeutic relationships with young people, their families and their carers.

Band 5

Day Rate - £14.70 per hour plus holiday pay

Night/Sat Rate - £19.11 per hour plus holiday pay

Sun/Bank Holiday Rate - £23.52 per hour plus holiday pay

NHS Professionals, working in conjunction with Southern Health NHS Foundation trust are seeking qualified motivated, enthusiastic and hardworking Registered Nurses (Forensic Mental Health and Psychiatry) who are passionate about providing the best care to our patients to complement our existing team. to join the bank. NHS Professionals works in partnership with Southern Health NHS Foundation Trust to provide their temporary staffing requirements. We are seeking Flexible Nurses to work as required various sites across Hampshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Hours and shift are offered on a fully flexible basis, full or part time!

Post holders will have the opportunity to work shifts at two of the Southern Health sites.

  • Have a minimum of 6 months experience in a similar role held within the last 2 years
  • Have good communication skills and demonstrate evidence of team working
  • Be able to take direction and instruction and be honest and trustworthy
