Patient Information Library Assistant

We are looking for an administrator who can support the ’Information for Patients’ service at Leicester’s Hospitals.


This is a relatively new service, aiming to make patient information easier to produce, easier to understand and easier to find.


You will manage a new online system, hosting high quality information that is accessible to the public, staff and the wider healthcare community. The post is mainly based within the library at Leicester Royal Infirmary but will support staff who are creating patient information across all three hospitals.


You will need a flexible approach with strong computer skills, and an ability to learn new ones.


You should also have good attention to detail, work well under pressure and have excellent communication and organisation skills. You will need to be able to work both independently and as part of the wider library team.


This role will help us to improve the accessibility of information for patients, having a positive impact on patient experience and patient choice. If you are passionate about these things and have an interest in health literacy we would love to hear from you.
