Secondment or fixed term opportunity available

As a result of forthcoming maternity leave, we are looking for an enthusiastic and dynamic Speech & Language Therapist to join our innovative and dedicated service.

You will be based at the Western Community Hospital on the outskirts of Southampton. Your role will be to provide rehabilitation to clients with a range of mainly progressive neurological conditions (e.g. MND, MS, HD).Rehabilitation will be carried out in people’s homes and you will be working closely with other members of the MDT, including Dietitians, Physiotherapists and Neuropsychologist.You will work within a team of experienced Speech and Language Therapists to provide rehabilitation and there will be opportunities for skill development.

The successful post holder will maintain close links with the wider Community SLT service and have some opportunity take part in service developments. Clinical supervision is offered in both 1:1 and group settings on a monthly basis.There will also be opportunities for peer support.The post holder must have an enthusiasm for team working and for supporting excellent client care.

The services are part of the Solent Neurological Rehabilitation Services and you will be supported by the Team leaders as well as Speech & Language Therapy colleagues.

Driving licence and access to a car is essential.
