CAMHS Crisis Team and CAMHS Outpatients Team are looking to recruit dynamic individuals. Are you that person?

Permanent Band 6 – 2 WTE post for Outpatients Team.

Following the Transforming Community Services programme, the Leicester Partnership Trust is now a large provider of Community Health, Mental Health and Learning Disability services, serving a population of approximately 1 million people across Leicester City, Leicestershire and Rutland.

We are seeking to recruit dynamic Nurses to work full time within Crisis and Outpatients to join our teams in a strong multi-disciplinary setting delivering a service for young people and their families / carers in Leicestershire.

For the Crisis post - the individual appointed will work with children, young people and their families (up to 18 years) with the principal objectives of providing crisis assessment and short term intensive, therapeutic interventions to the client group. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the effective management of a community caseload of children and young people referred to the service.

The Crisis service operates from 08.00hr – 22.00hr seven days per week for crisis assessments while 08.00hr – 20.00hr for home treatment. The post holder will be required to work full time (37.5 hours) on an internal rotation.

For the Outpatient post - the individual will primarily serve the county generic outpatient team, which is a specialist mental health team, offering specialist mental health assessment and intervention to children, young people and their families living within Leicestershire and Rutland.

The Outpatient service working hours are 09.00 – 17.00 Monday – Friday

The post holders will be joining a large supportive service with good levels of supervision and personal development. We are passionate about continued development and offer a substantive induction into the service / teams.

The candidate will need to be confident in understanding the needs of clients with mental health needs and provide appropriate assessments / interventions / therapy and risk management strategies to support them. The Candidate will also need excellent communication skills, be self-motivated, organised and have a reflective and flexible approach to working with clients with complex needs.

Applicants should hold a professionally registered qualification and have experience of working with children, young people and families or within crisis team / mental health settings.

In addition to the Crisis team and Outpatient teams, we have specialist teams for Adolescent inpatient, Learning Disabilities, Primary Mental health, Looked after and Adopted children, Young Offenders, Homeless children and a Paediatric psychology Services.
