Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of community health services for both physical and mental health conditions, as well as a range of specialist services supporting people of all ages including family and young people services, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health community and inpatient services.

We deliver services to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our 5500 staff serve a population of one million from over 100 sites across the region.

We have an exciting opportunity to be part of a newly refreshed approach to Learning from Deaths and Suicide Reduction. In line with national strategy, Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust has committed to a Zero inpatient Suicide Ambition and will work through its Suicide Prevention Group to oversee a range of improvement actions over the next three years.

This is a real opportunity to work in partnership with service users, carers, staff and system-wide stakeholders to develop the priorities for improvement by learning from local deaths and suicides.

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented Registered Nurse or Allied Health Professional to support the Trust to address these two areas of improvement. The right person will have an important role within the Patient Safety Team to create a culture that focuses on high quality care standards; preventing avoidable death; listening to feedback; and developing a system to embed learning across the Trust.

The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills and be able to work collaboratively with a wide range of professions and services. They will be knowledgeable about mental health and able to utilise evidence and best practice in all improvement activities to reduce suicide and learn from deaths.

Whilst this post is advertised as full time a job share would be considered.
