A opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, motivated and experienced Nurse/ODP to work within the central theatre complex at Leicester Royal Infirmary.

We are looking for a forward thinking individual who is willing to lead the service as well as the high quality, safe care we expect from our teams.
You will be a key lead for developing patient services and work towards improving our patient’s experience.

You will work closely with your group of Band 7 Team Leaders to provide direction and inspirational leadership to them and the wider nursing and allied professionals within the theatres. The role involves working closely with both the ITAPS nursing and operational team but also other Clinical Management Groups (CMG’s) across the hospital in order to deliver both the elective and emergency pathways.

You will be working within a busy team which incorporates many surgical specialities including ENT, Max. Fax., Plastics, Women’s and obstetrics, Paediatrics, Day Case, General Surgery, Trauma Orthopaedics and Eye surgery. The LRI also has busy Emergency theatres with the city’s Emergency Department on site.

The post holder will be an expert clinical practitioner with extensive and relevant experience at Band 7 and able to demonstrate their patient focused approach to care delivery. They must be able to problem solve and initiate change as well as hold experience of continuous quality improvements. The successful candidate must be committed to delivering safe high quality effective care alongside meeting service delivery targets.
