*Older Persons Mental Health welcomes newly qualified nurses, general and mental health registered*

As a newly qualified Staff Nurse you will use your skills to contribute to the assessment and planning of care for older people with dementia and/or functional mental health, who are in an acute mental health crisis, often along with complex health needs and some challenging behaviours. You will be supported to implement a wide range of care interventions, with an emphasis on enabling people to stay well and maximise their independence.

You will work with the multidisciplinary team, enabling the provision of high quality, person-centred care and contributing to the development of the Older Person's Mental Health service. Your ideas will be listened to and your skills and successes are both valued and recognised. Your excellent clinical, interpersonal and team skills will enable us to work collaboratively across community, primary, secondary and social care services

We know that the development of our staff is essential to the delivery of high quality, safe and effective care and ensure that all our newly qualified health professionals are offered a comprehensive 12 month Preceptorship programme. You will be supported by an outstanding team of Practice Educators who will support and assist you in the transition from student to practitioner.

We have lots of exciting opportunities to offer candidates that want a friendly and supportive environment to grow and build their career as a Registered Nurse. We welcome newly qualified nurses, both general and mental health trained.

Tier 2 Certificate of Sponsorship

Applications from job seekers who require Tier 2 sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications. However, non-EEA candidates may not be appointed to a post if a suitably qualified, experienced and skilled EU/EEA candidate is available to take up the post as the employing body is unlikely, in these circumstances, to satisfy the Resident Labour Market Test. From 6 April 2017, Tier 2 skilled worker applicants, applying for entry clearance into the UK, must present a criminal record certificate from each country they have resided continuously or cumulatively for 12 months or more in the past 10 years. Adult dependants (over 18 years old) will also be subject to this requirement.
