Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust provides a range of community health services for both physical and mental health conditions, as well as a range of specialist services supporting people of all ages including family and young people services, mental health, learning disabilities and physical health community and inpatient services.

We deliver services to the people of Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland. Our 5500 staff serve a population of one million from over 100 sites across the region.


We are looking for exceptional Band 5 Staff Nurses, either experienced or newly qualified, to join our Community Hospital inpatient team at Hinckley and Bosworth Community Hospital. Caring predominantly for frail, elderly and medically unwell patients.

You will need to be a highly motivated nurse with vision, who wants to be part of a multidisciplinary team providing care within medical stepdown, rehabilitation and palliative care.

We use electronic systems including Systm One for patient records, Nervecentre and EPMA (electronic medication prescribing and administration system). We offer training and personal development within the wards and at our Learning and Development Centre to ensure you have the knowledge/skills to meet patient needs and complete your revalidation CPD requirements.

In addition we offer free parking on all our sites and a shift pattern that is predominantly long days and nights on a rotational basis. We may be able to offer flexible working patterns; we can clarify this at interview.

We strongly recommend that you visit one of our Wards during the application process so that you understand fully the types of patients on our wards, our patient management process within the MDT, how we facilitate timely discharges and communicate this to our patients and their families.

For areas where our teams work to staffing rosters, rosters are set in advance at a team level and you will be joining an established roster. Your rostered shifts will be confirmed to you when arranging your start date. We will consider requests to vary working patterns in line with our flexible working policy.

For all substantive roles the appointment of every new member of staff (excluding medical and dental staff) to a post is subject to a 6 month probationary period, details of which are in our Probation Policy.
