The Emergency Department is looking to appoint a workforce coordinator who will be responsible for the maintenance of the Medical Staffing rota's and the organisation of the Nursing off duty.

 

The post holder will take a lead in conjunction with the Speciality Managers, Assistant General Managers, Speciality Leads, Matrons and Ward Managers in the issues pertaining to medical and nursing staff in the Emergency Zone.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

    • Provide leadership to all areas of responsibility by developing and maintaining effective working relationships with all staff groups

 

    • Co-ordinate Consultant and Junior medical staffing within the Emergency Zone and be the point of contact for day to day enquiries facilitating communication and information flow, initialising and responding to correspondence and resolving enquiries

 

    • Co-ordinate nurse staffing within the Emergency Zone and be the point of contact for day to day enquiries facilitating communication and information flow, initialising and responding to correspondence and resolving enquiries.

 

    • Assist the Management team with recruitment and selection procedures for medical and nurse staff within the Emergency Zone in accordance with Trust policies and procedures

 

    • Provide cross-cover for the Divisional Medical Staffing Coordinator during periods of leave and sickness
