37.5 hours per week, permanent post

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at University Hospitals of Leicester NHS Trust. We are a dynamic and progressive department actively engaged in national audit, accreditation and research.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation is delivered across 3 sites from Glenfield Hospital, Leicester General Hospital and the National Centre of Sports and Exercise Medicine (NCSEM) at Loughborough University. We have also integrated with the Cardiac Rehabilitation team to deliver generic breathlessness rehabilitation programmes which are still evolving. We are looking for a dynamic, highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Allied Health Professional (AHP) to work within the Pulmonary Rehabilitation Team at UHL NHS Trust. This person will be required to work flexibly across all hospital sites to enable service delivery and meet patient’s needs.

You will be expected you to take an active role in all phases of the UHL Cardio-Pulmonary Rehabilitation pathway. The applicant will have a very high standard of clinical and communication skills, be able to work independently as well as being an excellent team player and actively engage in departmental and service development as well as regular audit and participation in research. You will have experience of cardiac and/or pulmonary rehabilitation in addition to extensive respiratory physiotherapy skills.
