Leicestershire Partnership NHS Trust (LPT) provides a range of community health, mental health and learning disability services for people of all ages. Delivered through over 100 settings from inpatient wards to out in the community, our 6,500 staff serves over 1m people living in Leicester, Leicestershire and Rutland.


We would like to offer enthusiastic and motivated Registered Mental Health Nurses the opportunity to join our experienced and friendly team; City East CMHT.

You will be responsible for managing a clinical caseload fulfilling the roles and responsibilities of a Community Psychiatric Nurse.

The CMHT is part of the secondary care services, providing assessments and treatment packages for a range of clients aged 18-65 years, with complex mental health needs. These may include: Bi-polar disorder, Schizophrenia, Depression, Personality Disorder, Anxiety Disorder and some learning needs. The team use CPA and Cluster Care Pathways with a focus on recovery.

Requirements:

  • Registered Nurse - Mental Health with the NMC, meeting revalidation requirements
  • You will be required to have post registration experiences and evidence of post registration development
  • Hold a full driving licence and have the use of a car to fulfil the requirements of the post.
  • IT skills are essential.
  • Therapeutic skills i.e. psychosocial interventions, CBT, DBT, family work and counselling skills are desirable.

We will offer Clinical Supervision, PDR opportunities to develop your therapeutic skills and prescribing skills, in-house training to enhance your skills and learning and development needs. We will provide guidance and support to you in this role.
