An exciting apprenticeship opportunity is available with the Finance Team for a Data Entry Clerk.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone starting out in their career in finance and you will be provided with numerous development opportunities along with invaluable experience, insight and understanding of finance within the NHS. The role will support the study towards the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT) qualification, an extremely well recognised finance qualification. The experienced gained through this role will be very attractive to future employers and will leave the Apprentice with an excellent understanding of the NHS.

The role will be responsible for raising invoices to customers, including supporting information, distributing invoices from suppliers for approval, investigating queries from NHS Shared Business Services (SBS), customers, suppliers, staff and other users. The apprentice will have the opportunity to familiarise themselves with all aspects of financial services – accounts payable, accounts receivable and elements of payroll.

You will have a minimum 4 GCSE’s or equivalent including Mathematics and English. Some experience of financial or clerical work is desirable but not essential and you will have a real desire to work in finance. You will be confident in the use of information technology, particularly Microsoft Office & Excel, have clear and accurate written and verbal communication skills and the ability to work to tight deadlines.
