An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Radiology Department Assistant to be based at the Coalville Community Hospital and the Hinckley and District Hospital Radiology departments. The post will be based in Imaging and will include duties such as;

  • Basic clerical and reception duties including using Radiology computer systems
  • Carrying out duties involving patient care and welfare. This will include assisting the Radiology team where appropriate
  • To assist patients prior to, during, and after the examination including being able to give the patient a basic explanation of procedures
  • Assist in the safe discharge of the patient from the department
  • Ensure accuracy of patient and examination details
  • Assist in the cleaning and preparation of the room prior to and post procedure
  • Liaise with other departments and wards to ensure effective communication
  • Ensure mandatory training is up to date and remain updated with new developments and policies

The normal working hours will be 0830 - 1700 with weekend and bank holiday working. There will also be a need for some cross-site working across the other Community sites.
